Cup A Feel of Those Tacos!!

LOL.  OK  I have seen these taco cups all over the internet for a few months.  Since I had ground beef and nothing specific to do with it I say hey why not.

Start cooking the ground beef in a skillet.  Once this is done add the taco seasoning like you would if you were making regular tacos.

mmm bubbly
While this was cooking I started to put the soft shell taco tortillas into the muffin pan.

Started to layer some broken hard shells in also after I ran out of soft shells.  I personally like the hard shells anyway so these ones were for me!

Then I added a little bit of cheese and taco sauce to the "cups"

and a close up
Then I got to work adding the finished taco meat.

And some more cheese to top them off,

They came out nice and melty.  The soft shells were nice and crisp and the hard shells looked as though they had soaked up some taco goodness and I could not wait to try them!

I made my husbands plate first, since he was hounding me for his.  Now I should have used the same method for getting mine out of the pan, I just scooped his out while the pan was still on the oven rack, but the hubby was trying to get a freaking soda.  As a result I tried to take the pan out and put it on top of the stove,
hubby's nice plate of taco cups..

This is the result of that attempt.  I managed to save two of the last soft shell ones but the hard shell ones took a bad fall when the pan flipped over, almost all over myself, sending piping hot taco meat all over the place.  I shoot hubby the look of death and he went off to eat his dinner and I was left with this,

The two soft shell cups I did get to eat were great and my husband really liked his, cough cough, moving on.  We will just make sure to know where the oven mitt is BEFORE we start cooking, that way this doesn't happen next time lol!
