There's An Egg In That Burger...What!!

So my husband loves those hamburgers that come with a fried egg on top.  they have them at a few of the chain restaurants nearby, but since we have no car dining out has been severely reduced.  I have taken to trying to make things we like at home myself.

I came across this the other day while looking on Pinterest.

I literally made that face when I saw this
It was just a passing link to a site with interesting things so there was no tutorial, but the pictures are pretty much a tutorial on their own.  I started out making just regular hamburger patties with ground beef, then I removed the middle of the patty so it looked like a meat donut.  MMMMM meat donut...lol.

Anyway, I then started cooking it in the skillet.  The instructions show to crack the egg once one side of the burger was done but I decided to cook the burger almost fully and then add the egg.

Once the egg looks ok to turn I flip the whole thing and continue cooking.

Once that is almost completely done add a slice of cheese to top her off. You can sort of see the bread in that last pic, I toasted some wheat bread and voila!

I added the extra egg that "fell out" of the middle of the burger, mostly the white part, to the top for some extra egginess.  The hubby loved this and has already told me I should be cooking this for the masses and I am beautiful and a goddess and that this is his new favorite burger of all time.....all the complements brought on by a stuffed satisfied hubby lol.
 Enjoy TNT!
