I do however, have a large pile up of like ribbon and thread and stuff like that. So I was thinking of a project that could help me be organized annnnd would be crafty and pretty. I had come across this idea the other day for storing your rolls of wrapping paper, http://www.thedailybuzz.com.au/2011/11/25-clever-ideas_household-tips_storage-ideas/#.TtEcUaHBZ_o.facebook
I immedialy started thinking about how I could utilize this idea in my tiny apartment, but I dont have an abundance of wrapping paper rolls, since I usually try and do different things each year for that. I really wanted to try and think of something that I could store on rolls up by the ceiling. And then...
It hit me, I have tons of fabric and a huge problem trying to keep it out of the way, so decieded I am going to wrap fabric around the cardboard rolls and I will store my fabric up like this! BAM!
I think this is going to make a huge difference in our apartment because now i can use the wire shelves that are currently holding my heap of fabric now for other things. There is no tutorial, but I think I can muster the intelligence to create this. I am going to use just screws, since thats what I have, and I have a bunch of this ribbon that is bright neon yellow with black skulls on it. I havent been able to use it in anything else so just maybe this is what it is ment to be. I am however going to make three rows of ribbion for support, just because I know my fabric will weigh more than that wrapping paper.
I will post more detials on how I set this up after completion. I just want to measure out the distance and everything, wanna make sure this doesnt come crashing down on me!
