Oil and Water Mix Beautifully

I found this diy project on Pinterest a while ago.  I love the trippy look of these.  I finally had some food coloring and wanted to try this out.  I am not much of a color person and black is my go to so naturally I had black food coloring.  Here is a link to the blog that it was posted on Pinterest from, http://unplugyourkids.com/2009/02/02/marbelized-paper/.  And here are my results,

 First you put a layer of water in a shallow pan that can fit your paper.

Next you drip in cooking oil that you have mixed your food coloring in ( forgot to take that pic)

Then take your paper and lay it on top of the water.  Let it soak for a minute and then lift it off.  You will end up with these trippy looking prints.  I love the way they look, they remind me of marble. 














I am going to get some other food coloring colors as soon as I can so I can make some more of these.
