Hmmm, Don't Think I Like This**Updated(now i do!)**

I have been wanting to make my own version of this,
I didn't want to "copy" this either, although I love the birds. I decided that I would try and make one the other night while my husband was in one of his college basketball marathon comas on the couch. I had a regular board, like poster board that I used, I couldn't afford a nice canvas. Anyway here is what I came up with.

First I gathered some newspaper and my trusty scissors

Wouldn't be a party without the Mod Podge











Next, after cutting out some different size strips of newspaper, I laid them out to get a feel of where I may want to put them.

Almost there.....

  OK I forgot to take a picture of the final project with out the silhouette....but here it is anyway, the end result.  And, I am not liking it.  I am just going to paste over the silhouette and do another.  I bet you can't even guess the animal.  I'll give some hints.  Slow, lives in trees, and super cute.  Yup, it was meant to be a sloth.  I have loved sloths for so long and when I was trying to think of an animal to use I decided on one of these guys.  But now I am not liking it.  I traced a pic off the computer and this was the outline.  If i say so myself I think it looks like a turd, oh well.  back to the drawing board...

So, this little guy was sitting up on a shelf in my living room, just staring at me.  I decided I really didn't like it sooo...

Got out my trusty black paint,

Started to make an outline of something, nothing really in mind.

This is what I ended up with.  I like that it came out looking like ink spilled on newspaper.  I still haven't decided on where I am going to hang this, or which way.  I sort of like how it looks coming up from the bottom.
